Schlossallee 27: Right in a wealthy and a little square residential area Bernd the Bread inherited a house. With his friends Chili the Sheep and Briegel the Bush he makes himself a home. Bernds daily but still really crazy and for a tin loaf too hurly-burly adventures in his own home will be presented on KIKA as from October 6th 2007 every Saturday at 12:40 a.m. in „Bernd the Bread“.

Each of the three friends designs his/her own room in the old villa. While Bernd enjoys the silence in his calm, former music room, Briegel much to the unfortune of the others transforms the kitchen into a laboratory and Chili turns the winter garden with roof terrace into a mixture of adventure playground and stunt courses.
As the homeowner Bernd unwillingly has to be some kind of responsible for his two friends. No matter if Chili‘s frisbee lands up in the wrong garden, Briegel decoys aliens or the house warming party goes totally wrong, the call regularly echoes across the Schlossallee: „Mister Bread, you will pay for this!“

After all the neighbors react to the new citizens with mixed feelings. Especially the direct neighbors Mrs. and Ms. Dr. Dr. Potzler (Sabine Pätzold and Axel Strohmeyer) are irked by the extraordinary hobbies of Bernd, Chili and Briegel. Moreover they‘re concerned about a possible bad influence on their well sheltered daughter.
But the children of the Schlossallee, shy Anastasia Potzler (Milena Tscharntke) as well as the siblings Biggi and Basti Mickelhuhn (Kara Mc Sorley and Karl Alexander Seidel) who are always ready for fun with their single father (Sven Philipp) stand by their three friends.

In BERND THE BREAD the three friends experience a new dimension of their friendship. Not only Bernd as homeowner but also the two others often again learn between all fun and chaos that their responsobility for each other and accepting each other‘s weaknesses is important to their friendship.
